WHAT’S HAPPENING AT WAWA’S?
We are constantly making progress in achieving our goals, continue stimulating businesses and participation among women, promoting meeting spaces and growth to generate more and better opportunities.
INSPIRING IN ACTION
Once again, our conversations WAWA Inspiring Minds set the tone by summoning our members to know and enjoy the experience of renowned women in different areas of the audiovisual industry.
To close the month of September, we invited Holly Hines, senior executive in the communication media, “a pioneer in her area generating content opportunities and business innovative models, and at the same time, making the world a better place,” according to her biography in IMDB.
She is responsible for the success of “Ginny & Georgia,” one of the most popular series in Netflix.
PROMOTING BUSINESS WITH WAWA CONTENT HUNTER
We continue developing spaces to create business opportunities.
On August, we had our first WAWA Content Hunter with Latina TV which was looking for content in Big Show/Reality, Entertainment and Competition format for its Prime Time.
Now we will promote a space for Ecuavisa, a company looking for fictionalized comedies; and also, for Ecuavisa Studios, looking for fiction projects for their platforms.
SHINING AT IBERSERIES PLATINUM INDUSTRY
We will be present between September 30 and October 1 with our physical and virtual stand at IberSeries Platinum Industry in Madrid.
This will be where we present our initiatives; among them the presentation of the projects selected by vote at WAWA Co-production alliance.
These are: “La caza de las garzas” by María Elena Paniza; “Encrucijada” by Roxana Rotundo; “El secreto detrás de la copa” by Vanessa Velázquez; “Serie 2050” by Rosalind Rotundo; and “Cenicienta Enmascarada” by Dimitri Papanikas.
In addition to that, among our activities in Madrid we will have WAWA Dinner Thursday, where members of the Board and special guests will get together to share alliances, ideas, and of course, a lot of creativity.
ALLIANCE FOR TRAINING WITH SERTV
WAWA Association celebrates with optimism a new alliance with SerTV in which we encourage together the training and preparation of professionals in the audiovisual industry.
This way Worldwide Audiovisual Women’s Association stimulating growth to achieve more and better opportunities will contribute the knowledge through professionals participating in the preparation and advise the technical staff of the Panamanian TV channel.
