LILIAM HERNÁNDEZ, THE SOUL OF THE PARTY
Liliam Hernández, President and CEO of Universal Cinergia Dubbing/Universal Labs of America is literally the soul of the party. Her contagious energy, joy and professionalism inspire everyone who knows her. That’s why she has obtained various recognitions, among them “Pilares de la industria”, “Pillars of the Industry” awarded by Produ in 2020.
Since she had the initiative to found WAWA Association with Cecilia Gómez de la Torre and Gema López, she has also become an outstanding motivator who, with smiles, usually closes our events saying the motto of the organization: “unity is strength.”
In fact, the executive reveals to be pleased with the success and goals achieved by the association throughout its four years and she thinks there’s still a lot to do.
“I think very highly about WAWA right now and we must highlight the importance of our presence in different events.
It’s an honor to announce we will be at the International Emmy Awards Gala in November, and at Natpe, an event for which we are preparing a spectacular comeback after two years of pandemic. This will be a long-awaited party where we can hug and celebrate Woman of the Year 2021. The union will stand out, because it will summon men and women.
We will also have a presentation at MipCom 2021. And we also have to add that Wawa Inspiring Minds cycles have been a success.”
Hernández believes that WAWA’s achievements show that with perseverance and commitment things can be done.
“I must say that much of our success is due to the great team behind each activity.
For example, Carolina Cordero, to whom I give a big applause; and Roxana Rotundo, along all the members of the board.”
Currently, Liliam who has more than 38 years of experience within the audiovisual industry, faces new professional challenges that translate into constant growth.
She said: “the new digital platforms like HBO Max have led us to a new rhythm of production
of dubbing content both in Portuguese and in Spanish, the two languages that are at the forefront, although we have services in five languages.”
In reference to the coming months, Hernández explains that Universal will begin its annual tour of Europe in Madrid, followed by Paris, London, then they will return to France to go to Cannes, all done in order to encourage the approach with their clients.
“There are many clients, all of them very important to us with very solid relationships.”
Liliam Hernández is always willing to provide good energy to everything she wants to do, and this has undoubtedly been one of the keys to get where she is now, as well as the success of this group of women who she thinks are winners, powerful and who collaborate with each other strongly.
