Liliam Hernández, president and CEO of Universal Cinergía Dubbing, indicated that in 2019 they are adding new facilities in Mexico City, which will be directed by Cristina Littin. On the other hand, Gema López, president and director of Operations of Universal Cinergía Dubbing, assured that they are open to learn from Littin’s experience.
Liliam Hernández is a successful and renowned executive and entrepreneur with 39 years of experience in the audiovisual industry. A decade ago he partnered with Gema López and created Universal Cinergía Dubbing, a dubbing business unit that allowed them to be the first company to arrive in Istanbul to work hand in hand with the Turks to bring their productions to Latin America.
Now, the demand generated by the digital platforms has been a great impulse for the growth of the languages that Universal Cinergía Dubbing works.
“We are looking to expand to the whole world in 2019. Digital platforms have helped us a lot to increase languages. Although we have five in-house, we are also collaborating, for example, with Polish, Italian, Norwegian, Russian and Mandarin Chinese. Also, we are helping clients with all that exist so they do not have to go to another house of dubbing, but to be able to get everything in-house “highlights Liliam.
Hernández obtained a degree in Business Administration from Florida International University in Miami, Florida, in 1984.
He started in 1980 at Video Labs, where he acquired most of his vast professional experience. There she worked as general administrator and was in charge of the Customer Service division, which allowed her to obtain the knowledge and love for the industry she has today.
Later, in 1994, he founded Universal Labs of America, a post-production company that uses the latest state-of-the-art technology.
Together with Gema López, he founded Universal Cinergía Dubbing in 2012, a company that offers language dubbing, subtitling, closed captioning and language translation services to the main international and world markets.
