Romina Ortega Perez Villarreal
MA in Film Industry Management in University of Charles III of Madrid (UC3M). BA in Audiovisual Communication in the University of Lima and Production Design in EICTV (Cuba). She has followed courses of dramaturgy, production design, documentary with Javier Corcuera, DocuPeru, Estefania Larrain, Mariana de Althaus and Francisco Lummerman. Cofounder of Serendipia Productions, developing projects as an executive producer with interest in distribution and filmmarketing. She has colaborate in Programa Ibermedia and Latido Films.
After many years dedicated to art direction and production design in film, theater and advertising, in 2019 she ventures in “The Broken Heart Syndrome” (2021) (Best First-Time Director in Pambujan Film Festival), her directorial debut. “Lithic” is her first documentary film, which has been selected by the Campus DocsBarcelona, ChileConecta, and has won the Production Fund from the Ministry of Culture of Peru and the R2Media Award. She combines her professional activity with teaching about film and production design in EPIC, Ulima, British Institute, and others.
