Mercedes Cordova was born in Buenos Aires in 1985. She has a degree in Cinematography and a Master’s degree in Business Administration. In 2012, she co-founded Brava Cine, a production company devoted mostly to the development of audiovisual projects by female directors. She has produced over 10 feature films and documentaries, content for television and platforms, together with promising Latin American filmmakers.
Among her feature films we can find: Cetáceos, (Florencia Percia, 2017) BAFICI / Rencontres de Toulouse, El il cibo va: the Italian food diaspora (Mercedes Córdova, 2017), San Sebastian / Guadalajara, available on Netflix, Casa del teatro, (Hernán Roselli 2018) BAFICI and Villa Olímpica (Sebastián Kohan Esquenazi, 2022) BAFICI. Brava Cine is currently post-producing Reparo, Lucía Van Gelderen’s debut feature film, and developing upcoming projects like No honey, no money from director Nicole Costa (The journey of Monalisa, 2019); and The cottage by Silvina Schnicer (Tigre 2018 / Carajita 2021). Also, the documentary series “Mother Dough ”, directed by Mercedes Cordova, is in development.
