Maria Elena Useche
Maria Elena Useche (Maracay, Aragua, Venezuela) is a renowned Venezuelan reporter, TV/Radio host, and international life coach with more than 20 years experience in the industry of journalism, communication strategies, marketing and media programming. Since 2013, she has been the president and now partner at High Hill Entertainment, a successful production company in Miami Beach, Florida. Under her leadership, High Hill has gained its recognition from programs such as Suelta La Sopa, a daily entertainment and pop culture news show airing on Telemundo Network (U.S. Hispanic) and Telemundo International (Latin America) for the past four years.
She is currently the host of “El Lado Humano de la Fama”, an interview series inspired by the human side of celebrities, now in its second season being broadcasted on Telemundo Internacional (LATAM) and Telemundo Network (USA).
Television Career In 1988, Televen, a Venezuelan news broadcaster corporation, chose Maria Elena as the news anchor for the national afternoon segments in the program “El Noticiero”. She subsequently rose through their ranks and by 1994; Maria Elena had become the top news anchor in the country and host of special programs.
Then, in 1995, Venevision approached Maria Elena; to lead the channel’s morning informative news called “24 Horas”.
Following two successful years at Venevision, Useche goes on to co-executive producer and host the morning variety program “A la Medida” broadcasted on Venezuela’s state channel In 2005, Useche reappeared in front of the cameras of Galavision, an Univision network in the United States, where she was host of a criminal investigation program for three consecutive years, called “El Rastro del Crimen”. She then worked at Newslink, a communications company in Miami, as a Senior Account Executive. She also became the commercial director of Venezuelan airline, SBA Airlines. Following all these successes, Useche turns into the PR Manager for philanthropist and art collector, Ella Cisneros for the LATAM territory.
Useche returns to Galavision in 2010 as a Content Analyst and is then promoted to Programming Manager.
As of 2013, Useche has served as the President of High Hill Entertainment, an audiovisual and digital production company that creates content for the US Hispanic and Latin American markets.
She is the host of “El Lado Humano de la Fama”, an inspirational program that shows how celebrities have conquered the biggest obstacles in their lives. It has been broadcasted in North, Central and South American networks, among them is Telemundo Network (USA), Telemundo Internacional (LATAM), Imagen TV (Mexico), Cable Color (Honduras), and many others.
